1.Authorization regimen to builders / area purchasers
The A.I.Z. Consortium has the power to ask for the espropriation of inactive and unused
industrial sites in case of significant exploitation proposals, if regular
sale negotiations have been vainly carried out with former owners.
The power of espropriation is effective by means of the City Council, which is also
responsible for the necessary permissions and authorizations to carry on
productive activities.

6.Incentives to Investments

Available opportunities
from Italian State (on E.E.C. funds): lump-sum financing up to 20% (tax-exempt) of present
discounted value of investment; no capital reimbursement
provided all initial commitments are duly respected.
from State or Regional Government (by means of some publicly-held financial institutions,
such as GEPI and SPI, both Rome-headquartered, or Fidi Toscana
bank, based in Florence): temporary financing up to 49% of share capital, current interest
rate about 3-5%, no capital reimbursement until the end of period
(usually 5 years).
from Regional Government (on E.E.C. funds): lump-sum financing up to 50% of R&D
expenses/ high technology investments; no capital reimbursement at all.
from Provincial Government (on E.E.C. funds): lump-sum financing up to 80% of training
